Santa Maria is a farmhouse born thanks to the passion of the Ramerini family for the countryside and desire to share this experience with the others. The first brick on the uncultivated land was put in January 1995..we searched then the best the materials, the typical “arte povera” furniture.. a difficult enterprise but very funny!! After some years of works S.Maria Farmhouse began its activity on July 1st1999 with Stefania and Laura (the Ramerini sisters) at the reception and their father as “uomo tuttofare” (man for all jobs!) .
The mother participates and supervises to the cleaning works of the apartments and of the supply of bed linen and towels. The job revealed suddently exciting and very funny. Laura & Stefania, “the terrible sisters” searched (and found!) good partnerships with tour operators and tried to encrase the business taking part to travel fairs and events.
We really like to accommodate people from all over the world and to share with them our passion fro Tuscany and farmholidays. It is so nice to discover how the Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in the United States, the maori traditions in New Zeland or the ritual of the peach in Norway.. every guest offer us ” a pearl” and we answer with stories of Tuscany and our family. Today the “agriturismo” S.Maria Holiday counts something like 300 presences yearly from March to October with great satisfaction “of the hosts” and of the guests!
